Dipavali Sen, the author of Rishika, writes on mythological as well as contemporary themes. Her work includes short stories in popular magaziness like Children's World and Tinkle, novels Kusum (Children's Book Trust), The Last Message The Lost Message and The Waiting ( Invincible Publishers), research-based articles in reputed national and international journals such as Annals of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (Pune), Journal of Authors and Illustrators for Children (New Delhi), and The Bookbird (Baltimore, U.S.A.) and translation-based works like Chanakya Today (Unicorn Books), Jaya - Stories from the Mahabharata(C.B.T.) and The Legend of the Monkey Warriors (C.B.T.) She has prelsented papers at international conferences in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand and is a Life Member of the Association of Writers and Illustrators for Children (A.W.I.C.). A retired Associate Professor of Economics at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Delhi University
